Happy 2025

Less than a week ago, we were celebrating the beginning of 2025. Nancy and I usually celebrate with the iconic Ball Drop in Times Square, but this year we were a little on the tired side. We had been quite busy during the holiday season. After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, both of us seem to have caught a cold. We are both nursing this cold and should be up and around in a few days.

I usually send out an annual calendar to our family and some close friends each year. This year I created three different calendars with three different photos. Since I sent along a description of each of the three photos with each calendar, some have asked me if they could see what the other photos looked like. I have included all three photos below with their corresponding descriptions.

  • Point Pinos Lighthouse which was lit on February 1, 1855, to guide ships on the Pacific Coast of California. It is the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States. It is located in the city of Pacific Grove, by the Monterey Bay.

  • Convict Lake just off of Highway 395 on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The whole Frank family enjoyed staying here just before the Memorial Day weekend. The dogs were able to swim and hike twice a day. This was the time for the annual deer migration and the dogs were just fascinated seeing all of the deer.

  • First Snow took place in mid November. We were fortunate enough to be able to drive to Shaver Lake and experience this event before the snow melted that afternoon. Once again the dogs had a great time. They already knew this area, since Nancy had already taken them to Shaver Lake during the summer.

We hope that the year 2025 turns out to be a good year for you.
