Bright Sunshiny Day

It is going to be another bright sunshiny day here in the Central Valley of California. At noon the temperature was an even 100 degrees and at 1:00 pm it was 103. The high for today is forecast to be a measly 112 degrees and tomorrow is forecast to be 115 degrees. It is 2:30 pm, and as I am writing this the temperature is 107 degrees. It could be worse, it was 124 degrees in Palm Springs, CA, yesterday and it is suppose to be even hotter today! I am just looking for 'those hazy, crazy days of summer.'

I have been putting off working on my photography. There has always been some kind of project around the house that seems to take precedence over my working on photography. With the temperature hovering over the 100 degree mark this last week and into the next week, it has provided me the time I need to work on photography. I have purchased a new photography program and I need to develop my own workflow in using this new program. I hope to have my photo workflow established by the time Nancy and I travel to Portland for a short three day vacation later this month.

Gail's Eighth Birthday

Gail celebrated her eighth birthday yesterday. Both dogs started out the day by going to the lake to do a little bit of swimming and fetching their water toys. Then it was back home to do some nose scent work, which both of them look forward to. Nancy usually takes Gail out in the backyard to do her searches first, leaving Sally in the house. Sally is so anxious for her turn that she starts jumping and whining until it is her turn. The next part of their day is their nap time. Next comes dinner, but it was a special dinner tonight. Since it was Gail's birthday, Nancy fixed a pot roast. After dinner, Nancy had the usual birthday candle in the doggy ice cream, as show in the photo above. Finally, the time comes for their dog chews so both Nancy and I can relax in the living room.

I just looked at the television schedule for tonight and I noticed one of my favorite sci-fi movies will be on - Klaatu barada nikto.

Hopefully, I will have some photos to post in my next blog post. Have a nice evening.
